Not much excitement is offering itself of late, all I seem to do is go to work, get home, sleep, get up go to work etc etc. Weekends are spent in the cheapest possible mode, at home, gardening.
The only thing really that's pricked my ears up is our government. Wow, what a bunch of school kids, playing out their factional dramas in such a way as to distract the public from the real day to day issue of doing their damn job.
Seems Kevin Rudd has pulled a masterful political stunt by resigning as foreign minister, right when Julieaahhhh wanted to sack him... te he he masterful really it was. Problem is that the public find Julleaahh insipid, dishonest, demeaning and a whole lot more, a puppet for party factional's wanting to keep in power, problem is they have buckleys of buckleys of staying in power the next election, so the leadership ballot will happen on Monday and either Rudd / Creen / Juleeaah will have leadership power, a possible new prime minister AGAIN.
All the while our QLD reps are bidding their own war on maintaining power, poor old Anna Bligh.... the woman the public love to hate, her great buddy Rudd has just pulled the wool out from under her bid to be premier again, the alternate is not very pretty either. Full stop the opposition is a muddied group of men and women who have zero ability to account for the dollars in their own policy pockets, we're talkinga billion dollar black hole.
So for the next few weeks it will be interesting to see what exactly will come of this. I for one would prefer Rudd than Juleaaah any day however the idea of Labour being in power again really irks me. They use to be the party for the people, unfortunately that backbone philosophy has been torn to shreds by factional imbeciles seeking out to further their own careers rather than the party policy.
So there you go, that's about as exciting as it gets.
some times you have to do the routine to afford the fun. Sounds like the politics remain confusing and silly world wide
