Even though I all ready have a good idea I have to ask the question, why do people hate Rick Santorum? Someone actually hosts a website that defines Santorum's last name as being some form of scat. What perplexes me is Barrack Obama has held the same position as Santorum on gay marriage. No one even tries to hide the double standard anymore so what difference does that make? But let someone on the right try to throw glitter on Obama and see what happens.
As far as I am concerned gays should represent gays. When some despicable lowlife throws out the hate, smears, and assaults politicians because they have a different opinion it should set their cause back years. Christians who are complete numskulls seem to represent all Christians in the media.
Everyone knows Santorum doesn't give a crap about gays, his whole argument is protecting marriage as does the vast majority of the American people. What does less damage to the country? Promoting marriage so it is most beneficial to society or watering marriage down so it is diminished in society. The going count now is 31 states including California when gay marriage was put to a vote it was rejected.
What can be summed up in society today is what sits in front of your name. If it is an L then you can say and do whatever you want. But if there is an R in front of name you are held to a much higher standard. Let a Republican define Obama the same way they did Santorum and out would come the lectures and high moral rationale of tolerance and anti-hate and racism. The left spent 8 years calling GW Bush a liar, call Obama a liar when he is either intentionally telling a lie or just ignorant of the facts and you must be a racist. It is kind of sad.
I think you're asking the wrong question. No one hates santorum, so I'll rephrase this question. Why should someone with santorum's antiquated views be taken seriously as a presidential candidate?
This is a man who believes women shouldn't work outside the home!
