I doubt anything besides the squirrel's feelings were hurt. I know I've personally flung my cat around (what she was being obnoxious and not getting the point that when my hands are on an Xbox controller they can't pet the kitty. And even after flinging her a good ten feet her immediat reaction was to run back over and hop back in my lap. She was not going to take no for an answer.) so I suspect the squirrel went flyin and might think twice about standing on that thing again but it's most likely fine.
