Uhh.......so what's the problem, man?
Kids now get their room full of electronic goodies, don't have to go outside to play and get dirty, they get carted around everywhere they want to go until they're out of high school all paid for, then go to college and drink, smoke dope, and screw until they flunk (usually boys) - then go back home and live free 'till twenty-five.
If there's anything left to learn they don't know, learn at leisure at their own pace because parents can't get rid of them anyway.
If and when parents do kick them out, they can always join the military because there's always a war. So get a cool job like guiding drones into a country they can't find on a map and blow the shit out of everything. They're good at that 'cause by fourteen they're masters with violent video games.
And they say youth is wasted on the young. How silly.
star: I like Craig Ferguson a lot, actually. He's really funny. :)
beyond: Kids nowadays are hardly ever unsupervised. They have "play dates" now. How is that fun? I don't get it. I used to ride my bike with my friends until it got dark out. I'm sure there's still some of that going around, but instead, nowadays, running in place in front of your TV (via Wii or Kinect or whatever) counts as playing outside, dunnit?
Celebration of excess, bourgeois hedonism and ignorance seems to be rampant these days though. He's not wrong in this particular instance.
This is funny...... and so damn true. Thanks for the morning giggle Grape
My pleasure, dear. ;)
I'm glad you got a chuckle out of it. I sure thought it was funny. I like Craig Ferguson a lot. He's probably my favorite out of all the late night talk show hosts.
I've never seen him before to be honest, mainly I guess because I never watch those kinds of shows.
Cracked me up the facial gestures he used when he said "Young and stupid" the first time. I might have to get on youtube and watch a few more of his shows.
I'll get you started.
This is a great unrehearsed bit that proves that laughter is contagious. :)
That was pretty funny
