Simplifying Sunday

19:57

Sunday

I still have a chest cold. :(

Luckily tomorrow P will have a free day so perhaps I will have another free day myself of bringing the littlest to school on the bike. The weather forecast, that the week will still be below zero.

The littlest will be spending the whole day at school tomorrow for the first time. We arranged in the first evalualtion talk with her teacher last week, that littlest will start with whole days twice a week, and see how it goes.

It's only 20 days to Spring break! K will be taking the girls to their Oma H. in South Germany. P and I will continue with our early Spring cleaning, in the quest to simplify our daily life with the girls.

On Tuesday, I am hoping to be able to go back to my training (I'll take a brisk walk tomorrow to see how I cope with the cold air - it was not bad on the bike, not unpleasant only a tad irritating to have to cough as you breathe it in).

I still have to register for the half-marathon (9th of April), and might delay it until the deadline (25th of March) because I don't want to have a repeat of committing too early, like I did with Rotterdam (15K) & Egmond aan Zee (half-marathon).

At this point, I don't want to plan ahead too much. I take it a week at a time.

My daily mental list is very simple:

1) Wake up early

2) Prepare the girls for school in peace - no stress!

3) Get all of them to school on time, with warm tummies, and healthy school snacks/light lunch

4) Make sure I eat, drink properly, not stress during the day. Also not catch cold by changing my sweaty clothing from biking when I get home (it did not help this time but at least I know this is not the reason, I caught it - again!) from bringing littlest to school, and picking her up.

5) Take time to choose what I shop when I do the groceries. Simple rule of always having fruits, salads and vegetables available on a daily basis, making it easier to prepare and provide healthy meals and snacks for the family

6) Sit together for at least two meals a day (breakfast is still a challenge because I don't have that peace to sit down to eat with them while I prepare...I hope this will change after the Spring break!)

7) Spend individual quality time with the older girls

8) Spend quality time with P after the girls are in bed

9) Get blogs up

10) Be in bed before midnight! (Starting Monday as part of my marathon training before 10 pm)

I hope you all had a rejuvenating weekend, and the week offers you enriching experiences! :)

That is a beautiful scene, the colors are so vivid and the contrasts are so eye catching. As to your goals, very nice, very simple and realistic, I like them. How exciting that the littlest will be starting into full days, another testament to how fast they grow.
