Yes, Liberals / Democrats / Socialists have found yet another way to overturn Democracy. Sad is it not. I have worked for years and have been paid pretty well for it because I cannot do something that any untrained monkey can do. If what you do is truly worth what you want to get paid for it, someone will pay you that amount. It is called supply and demand. Otherwise, you are simply part of a hold up gang. You are no better than someone who walks into a bank and demands all the money. Unions, the minimum wage, and any other kind of artificially induced socialist baloney just upsets the apple cart. I heard yesterday that about 40 percent of young black men are out of work. That is probably because they pissed away their time in high school (if they even went to high school) and did not attend college or a trade school. And thanks to the minimum wage laws, even Burger King is going to hire someone with some education over them just to try to get their money's worth. People who join unions generally do not have that much to offer. They are forcing a company or the government to pay an inflated price for what little they have to offer. Thanks to morons like Obama, these are hard times and we all have to make adjustments to get through it. Unions generally do not want to make those adjustments and do not want any cuts to their pay. If it was up to me, government jobs would be few and far between and doing them would be more of a public service than a well paying, cushy job. My tax dollars are paying those fat cat unionized government employees. As far at the private sector, we all see what unions have done to companies like General Obama Motors. They turn out a crappy product and want high wages for it and then expect the government to bail them out when no one wants to buy their crappy product (believe me I have owned some of those crappy products). Companies need to be able to hire good people for a reasonable wage and they need to be able to can workers that cannot cut the mustard. That is what brought this country to greatness and that is why people used to prefer American made cars. The unions are the reason people do not want American made cars now. They are junk made by poorly trained and overpaid monkeys ... I suppose. Jobs went out of the country because of Unions and their unreasonable demands not because Unions were the answer. Liberals / Democrats / Socialists are the ones who need to wake up and smell the coffee and maybe read the writing on the wall. Companies are not in business to overpay you for too little work and to give you benefits and days off in the process. Companies are in the business to make money. Period. If you, as a worker, are not willing to help do that, you will not be a worker for long and it will not matter whether you are in a Union or not. The companies will be gone elsewhere and you will be unemployed it will just be a matter of saying you are an unemployed Union guy.

Where does it say you can't be in a union? Right to work just means you don't have to be. You're pro-choice right?

If you don't have to be in a union the company will fire anybody who works for a union. Lets not pretend that's not the case. It's really a matter of if common people should be paid enough to live or not and if not why not.

There are union shops in right to work states.

Go to any car dealer, Walmart, k mart, Target, Red Lobster, or construction company in a state that has a right to work law and see if they can have a union don't take my word for it go and investigate. They fire you for even starting a petition to form a union and they are allowed to do that under the law.

Alienated I have always questioned your thought process now I questioned your vision. If Democrats were not able to prevent Scott Walker from being elected, how did they recall him without Republican help?. Why did they change their position on his leadership. You have to admitt that Republicans aided and abetted Democrats in their recall and they did it to preserve their standard of living because the right to work law took it from them. Do you think that all fire fighters, policemen's, school teachers and nurses are Democrats. Since your productive longivity rewarded you well financially, can I assume that you are in the Mitt Romney class. You don't tell me much about occupational accomplishments when you only can compare it to an untrained monkey. Tell me what do you consider well paid. I don't know what plantation you are from but doesn't it stand to reason that if a corporation paid you what you were worth why would so many employees collectively join together and try to get better pay and working conditions. Are they all a bunch of lemmings?.

Don't you believe that professionals like cops, teachers, fire fighters and nurses should be paid for their professionalism and the time and money spent in getting qualified for their position. A city policeman must have at least an associate degree just to walk a beat or ride in a patrol car, if he hopes to advance to a detective he is required to have a bachelors degree in criminology and police science. A registered nurse must have 30 semester hours of college work pertaining to her profession every two years just to keep her registration. A school teacher is required to attend seminars and training in instructor techniques during her entire career. so who is some political prostitute bought off and payed for with corporate money qualified to tell them what they are worth.

If you had read that report rather than listening to some right wing radio commentator you would have discovered that many of them were veterans who served honorably in the military and completed two or three tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. If you believe in the innate goodness of employers so much why do you think their is an actors guild,Pilot union the AMA, Professional police association and the national fire fighters association, are you saying that all these professional are useless and does such a crappy job to the point of needing the collegiality of their coharts to survive, or are they just greedy?. If it's so essential that we all have to make adjustment in our lives how did the Bank of America, Citi Group, Wells Fargo, Goldmans Sac and other walk up to the treasury window and extract 760 billion dollars to cover their own financial failings and refuse to right the wrong that they have done to the American public. The failure of General Motors and Chrysler was not due to unions it was due to the fact that they could not obtain loans from the failing banks, but now they are the leading car manufacturer in the whole world, how crappy is that. Based on your position the unemployment rate is around 10 percent of the population totaling about 15 million citizens you probably think all of those are crappy workers to.
