Pajammas Not For Sleeping

This article makes me smile

Apparently some jack ass actually tried to make it illegal for anyone in the US to wear pajamas in public. The arguement being it means the United States has lost its moral fiber and today its jammies tomorrow will bring mass nudity.

Even some schools banned jammies, saying they inhibited the motivation to learn.

My opinion you ask?

Well Jammies have sorta been in and out, like bell bottoms. I remember a phase in HS when it was cool to wear Jammies, I only ever got away with it once, my mother didn't approve at all. She said it was sloppy and lazy and I needed to take more pride in my appearance. Like the article says though, there are ways to wear jammies so its not sloppy. Then suddenly that trend was out and Lucky Brand & Silver Jeans were in.

As an adult my view point on this is quite simple, I look better when other people look like crap : ) I dont give a rats ass what anybody else wears, but im loving the idea of everyone running around in sweats and me running around in my regular attire that would look glamorous compared to the jamma wearers.

So g'head people, go out in public in Jammies, I support you : )

I'm on your mother's side. I think it's a little disgusting how little pride people take in their appearance. There may be cases where you HAVE to leave the house to pick up meds or something like that, but just for fun? nah.

Just smiling because where I worked off and on these last three years, when we worked alot of overtime in would come the folks still in their jammies, houseshoes and a hoodie. At least they showed up, and the bossses didn't care. Keep in mind that this was not an office or anything. But me? No matter how little sleep I had gotten, I still got up, put on make-up, dressed in my jeans, clean blouse, regular shoes etc.... I envied those people who could just kind of "get up, pee, and drive to work."

In the Vietnam War in the 1960s, the VC (that's shortcut for Viet Cong) went into combat in black pajamas and rubber sandals. How cool is that? ;-)

OMG, how cool is it that I see "moonriver" here? I was just thinking about you today! I am beside myself.... Hey, dude and thanks for the huge smile on my face.

Among its wares were several silk blouses selling for more than $200 each; a pair of silk drawstring plaid pants with elastic cuffs for $495; and these $845 (!) wide-leg print pants constructed out of sateen, a fabric that I think is mostly used to make bed sheets.

While these are girls attire i think, why youd pay so much for jammies beats me,i slip between the sheets in a pair of old faded stubbies and am quite content . Blue.

wombie - hi friend, and thank you too. it's always a thrill to know someone like you was thinking about me today... :-)

on the issue of going to work or school in jammies--it's a fad, that's all. we're supposed to sleep in it, not lose sleep over it. lol

Myself personally, I don't wear my pajamas in public, nor have I ever worn sweats or anything like it. I feel slobby in them and hardly wear them much at home besides to sleep. Now, if everybody else wants to wear them, whatever, I'm not them, they're not me, so I could care less, lol.

I agree, when Remi made the switch to his current daycare, I saw a world of difference. I think the daycare lady is super involved with the kiddos (love her) and most of the kids are little girls and I think they have influenced Remi's vocabulary a lot read the rest
