Apparently some jack ass actually tried to make it illegal for anyone in the US to wear pajamas in public. The arguement being it means the United States has lost its moral fiber and today its jammies tomorrow will bring mass nudity.
Even some schools banned jammies, saying they inhibited the motivation to learn.
My opinion you ask?
Well Jammies have sorta been in and out, like bell bottoms. I remember a phase in HS when it was cool to wear Jammies, I only ever got away with it once, my mother didn't approve at all. She said it was sloppy and lazy and I needed to take more pride in my appearance. Like the article says though, there are ways to wear jammies so its not sloppy. Then suddenly that trend was out and Lucky Brand & Silver Jeans were in.
As an adult my view point on this is quite simple, I look better when other people look like crap : ) I dont give a rats ass what anybody else wears, but im loving the idea of everyone running around in sweats and me running around in my regular attire that would look glamorous compared to the jamma wearers.
So g'head people, go out in public in Jammies, I support you : )
I'm on your mother's side. I think it's a little disgusting how little pride people take in their appearance. There may be cases where you HAVE to leave the house to pick up meds or something like that, but just for fun? nah.
