I hear this a lot, but what does this mean?
For instance, is it possible that something like buddhism is also inspired by God? Is it possible that a great book like Walden is inspired by God? Is the Bible the only book inspired by God?
If it's only the Bible that is inspired by God, then how were the humans inspired by God receiving the message?

Yes, that's what I'm getting at. Is the Bible fundamentally different from other great books, or are they the same. Inspirations that aren't perfect, and contain the flaws of the humans who wrote them?
Imagine if I said, "living in the city is immoral because it says so in the book Walden". If I were serious you'd laugh right? My believe would have to be based on something more than the simple fact that Walden says so.
The Bible might be different from other great books, but no one knows if it is "fundamentally different" from other great religious books. All humans from different corners of the earth have written books which contain flaws in their beliefs and writings. And many have not even written books.

I'm pretty sure many things in the bible are simply wrong. Women not being allowed to teach men is one example.
Well, I could be funny and say I was teaching you.....ha.
But I think it is all in the interpretation.

Maybe God is capable of inspiring all humans, no matter where they came from, which is most likely from God. If there is no God, as we know it, then there is something that we have not encountered yet. That must be a really fantastic thing. I think most people go with the "God" thing.
Me, I just want to float around after death and find out when my time comes.
