Christmas Chaos

Take 15 people who are no more or less alike than the crayons in a box. Add too much food, extended anticipation by the children, an exhausted me (mom and gma), one Christmas tree with presents surrounding it (the amount led Uni to tell me I'm out of control), dishes of chocolates sitting around, and you have chaos. Mostly good. Happy children. Happy grandchildren. A few short minutes of feeling like I've pulled off another celebration that made my babies happy, and then it's over. It becomes more difficult each year but each year is a small victory that there was once again a magical day here with Grandma. Who knows what next year will bring but if I don't run away to a tropical island the first of December next year, I hope to be blessed with Christmas Chaos again in 2012. May you have a little of your own. Merry Christmas to my Yakkstr friends. May you still feel the joy of the season.

I have every confidence you'll do it again in 2012. Nice job! I'm sure everyone enjoyed themselves and you have created memories for them.

Happy Christmas lady! I don't know how you parents and grandparents do it. I find children to be so tedious and tiresome (especially this time of the year). I am glad I'm not a parent.

Perhaps that's something I'll change my mind on later, but not bloody likely. Not any time soon, either.

Grape, if you met my grandchildren you WOULD change your mind. They are old sweet souls. Merry Christmas Grape.

LOL Woman, I love seeing kids this time of the year, well bought up ones mind you. The snotty little selfish so and so's who learnt from their parents are never fun, but a child enraptured with christmas joy and fun well.... who could be grumpy about that ((ahem, eccept Grape :p))

Sounds like a wonderful christmas Woman.

I had a water pistol fight with my mother in law christmas day, who says you have to be grown up?
