and I think they've nailed it. It's not as good as an iPad, but it's 100% better than a vanilla android experience. I foresee them selling a ton of these. Most of all, it's $300 LESS than an iPad.

Man, it would take me a while to explain what all of that means :)
I had a chance to check out a free Kindle from my library, but never did. While I'm not saying I'm against the new way to go, I haven't caught up to it. I thought at the time that they were only digital books, but maybe they do more than that?
I might try one someday, but I still like my old, much used smelly hardbacks for now.
I laugh at myself. When I read the topic of your post I thought of the material used to start a campfire. Then in further reading, a 'vanilla android experience' meant no more to me than the meaning of fulfillment to a cricket.
Sometimes it's ok to be ignorant. And glad of it.
