Enough Republicans believe this Star that Cain is a front runner in the primaries and this is his claim to fame. It's about being fair and not punishing the rich for being rich and poor people should pull their weight as well. I'm not defending his plan, I think it's crazy but I understand the logic.

The 9 percent national sales tax will add 9 percent at the manufacturing level,9 percent at the whole sale level and 9 percent at the retail level It's nothing more than a value added or consumption tax and the state taxes are not included. If his idea is adopted will be more inflationary than anything we've witnessed since the gas prices of the 70's.
