He has to make it to the very top to get good pay. Nate Diaz is a B level guy, and he only got paid $33k. He lost, and would have gotten paid a lot more if he won, but still, that's not a lot of money and a fighting career is short.

I was guessing so. Kinda strange really seeing how big MMA is getting. The large audiences and pay per view is obviously not getting to the fighters yet.
and its a helluva lot more dangerous, boxing is for pansies compared to UFC, that shit is brutal.
I don't know, boxers get beaten in the head a lot more. My guess is that they will have more long term chronic brain injuries than MMA guys, but MMA is too new to know for sure.

Ive got a friend that is an ultimate fighter, he competes and has been undefeated sense he started...His goal is to go pro and make big money like these guys...but right now he doesnt get paid shit.
