The ball is rolling, picking up speed and things just seem to be getting better and better!
I had a meeting with my boss yesterday (Friday for me) bascially I resigned from operations, not immediately because its peak season, in October to give them enough time to train someone new.
I also told her of my plans, to study and become qualified, and to take on other peoples accounts, and continue to do theirs, but not as an employee, but a contractor.
It will take me a year or so of studying by the way so this is long term. She surprised me, she really did, yes to everything. A pay rise, a 4 day week and NO operations. She said she'd support me to do what I wanted, because! You guessed it, she doesn't want to lose me.
At then end of the day all three bosses had a meeting and they are going to employ two more people to take up the slack of what I did in ops (I did allot guys, way too much) and I will have a more senior roll in accounts and staffing HR.
I've already got loads of info on my course, I'm just trying to find the right place to do it with. It has to be govt accredited so I need to be careful but also pinch my penny's so to speak. As the cost ranges from 2k right up to 5k in some places. It doesn't come cheap to become an accountant.
Hubby is thrilled, I guess because he comes from a conservative background that a life qualification is a good thing. Direction. Picking up the slack of finances won't be too difficult because the shortfall will only be a matter of 40 to 60 odd dollars, thats peanuts, thats called dinner out or a new pair of shoes nothing!
Seems as though Saturn is doing wonders in my sign right now, not that I pay too much attention to that stuff.
I'm so glad to hear that it's going along smoothly. Investing in the classes is a good thing, and I'm sure you'll do very well.
