Good Friends and Morning Headaches

It seems like I am always posting somewhat depressing dismal stuff so I'll write about some fun stuff for a change. Also sometimes writing about it can help you realize how lucky you really are.

Thursday night a friend of mine that recently moved out further west, was back in the area and she specifically wanted to stay with us on her way through. That was real flattering. We had a blast the night she stayed here. I made a bunch of dinner that night: rice, grilled porkchops (that had been marinating for about a week in a little concoction I put together), salad, and all served with some Amber Eve (the American style amber I brewed and is getting better and better the longer I let it 'bottle condition'). Anyway, we had a nice evening and just had a ton of fun all around. She said something that night that just reminded me how great it is to have some real true friends. I think we're supposed to hang out again tomorrow when she is swinging through the other direction.

Friday one of my friends from what I consider my home town came down and we went to see scary movies in spirit of the season. Paranormal Activity 2 was actually really frightening. I usually don't say that about too many of those films, and honestly I wasn't expecting too much out of this one, but it was good. After the movie we went downtown for a beer and a slice of pizza at my new favorite pub. $2 cheese slices the size of your head! We walked around downtown for a little while and then came home to a long evenin', damn near 'til the sun came up. It was quite fun.

Today we had plans to head back "home" to go out for Halloween. My roommate started feeling weird so we ended up sticking around and didn't go out. Probably for the best, but more about all that crap later.
